Tips to train good dogs at home
How proud you are when you have a good dog, obedient to its owner, and friendly to everyone. However, for some reason your dog is spoiled and it makes you angry. Don't worry too much, you simply don't have the right training method.
Part 1: Bad behaviors of bad dogs, causes and solutions
1. Bad behavior of a bad dog
- The dog has outrageous actions, chases chickens and ducks, and even wants to bite the owner or people around.
- Rubbing his body against his owner's hand (People think it's an act of expression, but the dog does this only to objects below it )
- The owner called it did not answer, indifferently ignored.
- Seeing the master who was eating approaching, he roared in protest.
- When walking, drag the owner in the direction you like, or stand still.
- When walking, they often bark loudly to show authority to other animals.
- The guest walks into the house, but even if you try to dissuade them and ask them to be quiet, the guest will still bark.
2. The causes of the above behaviors
All the above behaviors are collectively referred to as "dominant diseases". It can be said that most of the dogs in the city now suffer from this disease. Dogs are inherently gregarious, so once raised, make sure they know they have the best position in the home, or they will wonder why they should obey someone lower in status. From there, it's easy to create confusing behavior that is sometimes too unpredictable.
3. How to overcome bad dog behavior
Create a safe and comfortable space
The ancestors of dogs were wolves that lived in packs and liked to live in burrows, so a small cage was safer than a large space. To help your dog bond with his home, start by putting some favorite toys or treats inside.
When they are at home, talk to them using the friendliest language and gestures. But as soon as the dog left the house, he put all the toys and food in and pretended not to talk to him anymore. Do this multiple times and the dog will learn that it is only at "home" that they get toys, food...and more attention from their owners. From there, I would rather stay at home than hang out.
When it is about to enter the cage, issue the command "enter the house", the dog will remember this command and will obey every time you ask. After the dog enters the house, remember to manually close the cage door and chat with it for a while before leaving to show that you care.
If you get into the habit of staying in a dog crate, it will be very convenient every time you go on a trip or take your dog to a neighbor's house...
Serious and regular training
your dog in the direction to walk if you see signs of it. You have to pull it in the opposite direction. This is one way to treat syncope in dogs. One thing to note is that you should never look at the dog's face when pulling the dog in the opposite direction. After a while, the dog may go back to the old card and do what you did before but stronger. Many times, when a dog cannot go against the will of its owner, it falters and becomes more rational. Repeat often, especially early on.
The "hug from behind" method
Every time your dog "resists," hold him tightly from behind until he calms down. Once the dog has calmed down, pet him lightly, and if possible, speak to him in a low voice to show your sympathy.
Part 2: Basic training to make dogs more obedient and smarter In the process of raising dogs, basic
training exercises are very necessary. Your dogs will be very obedient and obedient and restrain their evil behaviors.
1. Teaching a dog to go to the toilet in the right place
Training a dog to go to the toilet in the right place is the most basic lesson in teaching a bad dog to be a good person.
When your dog goes to the toilet indiscriminately, you can act angry or tap your hand. Then you clean up the battlefield where they are left in the toilet.
You leash the dog in one place to keep them still, and after a few hours, take the dog to the toilet where the toilet is so they can smell their poop there. It takes a few more sessions to develop the habit, and over time your dog will learn how to go to the toilet.
Also, you can let your dog use the toilet in the tray, you should have 2 litter trays for your dog. Next to the toilet tray, there must be a pad to absorb urine. In newly bought rugs, you soak a little pee and then tuck it under the tray. The effect of this is to "mark the area that smells of dog urine". This way when the dog is sad and smells the smell, he will urinate in it.
2. Teach your dog to listen to the owner to learn basic commands to
sit, lie down, stand, stand, and other basic training commands will help your dog be more obedient and listen to you better. You can refer to here to choose the training method that suits you.
Teach the dog to sit
- stand in front of the dog,
- raise the hand to place the food above the nose, and then slowly move the hand to the top of the head, between the ears.
- Your dog will sit on the ground naturally.
- Once they sit down, say sit down and reward the animal.
Teaching the Dog to Stand
- When the dog is sitting or lying down, you place one hand on the dog's belly and push up slightly, and the other hand pulls the leash forward slightly.
- At this point, the dog will stand up, shout "stand up", and reward the dog.
- Do about 10-15 times, then let the dog rest
Teach the dog to lie down
- Place the hand holding the food in front of the animal's nose and slowly lower the hand to the ground.
- The dog will reflexively raise its nose and lie down.
- When the dog lies down, say lie down and reward the dog.
Teach the dog to come here
- distance from the dog, gently pull the leash toward you and call his name to encourage the dog to run toward you.
- As soon as the dog ran over, he shouted "come here" and rewarded the dog.
Teach your dog the command to stay still
stop command hold or the sit command will help you have better control of your dog when you are out and about. To teach this command, you do the following:
- your dog performs the sit or stands command
- Instead of giving the treat right after
- Gradually increase the pause time and shout the command "Quiet".
- Repeat to get the dog used to it, then rest.
Also, for the dog to execute more complex commands, become intelligent, and obey the owner completely, you should refer to the dog training school to take the dog to school.
3. Teach the dog not to bite the owner
. If you have a dog at home, you should keep a dog from an early age. Strictly limit keeping adult dogs, especially ferocious breeds, as poorly trained dogs will be more difficult.
- Dogs are naughty and when it starts to get rough they need to know where the limits are. When the puppy bites, it calls out "a". Ignore it for about 20 seconds after it releases your hand. When you do this, the dog will know that you disapprove of rough play.
- Avoid pulling your hands away when a puppy bites. It will think you are still playing and will keep chasing.
Note: Bad dogs must be sent to a reputable training center.
4. Help the dog get along well with the surrounding environment.
Do not keep it for too long. It takes time for the dog to run, play, and release energy.
Dogs with autism are usually withdrawn and wary of strangers, and you should socialize the dog gently so they know that not all strangers are dangerous. It also helps teach dogs not to bite their owners.
Teach bad dogs to be good people, don't bite people, and you should keep your dog in contact with other pets. For puppies that need training from an early age, there will be less aggression towards other dogs or cats.
If the dog is showing stress, the owner should be there to comfort him. Avoid making the dog so nervous that it will bite.
Training your dog with food is also a great application.
For an adult dog brought from elsewhere, there will be surprises, growls, and vigilance at first. You need to gently caress, hug, and let them get used to and feel safe.
5. What is the right way to punish a bad dog?
Parallel to these exercises training a bad dog to be a good dog is a punishment exercise when the dog is disobedient.
- You can impose severe punishment, but don't be too cruel to your dog. Using harsh punishments during training can be counterproductive.
- Punishments such as pats on the butt, light threats, or tethering and ignoring can also be effective in training a bad dog to be a good person.
